BRIDGES Receives $1M Yield Grant

March 19, 2024

We are honored to announce that BRIDGES has been chosen as a recipient of a $1 million gift from MacKenzie Scott’s Yield Giving Open Call. We were a part of 250 selected out of over 6,000 applicants nationwide. This grant is a significant milestone in our journey to empower youth and strengthen communities.

The Yield Grant is a testament to our unwavering commitment to creating positive change and fostering opportunities for young people. This generous contribution will enable us to expand our impact and continue our mission of building a brighter future for us all.

Dana Wilson, our President/CEO, expressed gratitude for this exciting accomplishment. "We are grateful to be recognized and rewarded for the hard work that we do here at BRIDGES," she shared. "BRIDGES has been one powerful step along the journey of thousands of young women and men in Memphis over the last 35 years; and, with support like MacKenzie Scott’s Yield Grant, we are that much further down the road of teaching, equipping, and empowering more young Memphis leaders."

With this grant, we aim to enhance our programs, reach more youth, and create lasting change in our communities. We’re grateful for the support of our donors, partners, and supporters who have helped make this possible.

Every student counts.

Young people are born with creativity and passion to lead. BRIDGES has worked with thousands of students to unlock that potential and activate new generations of leaders across Memphis.
