Bridge Builders^® Recommendation Form

The BRIDGES Bridge Builders^® leadership and diversity training program is in the process of selecting candidates for its upcoming class. Please look at the following criteria and consider whether or not the above applicant possesses the indicated traits.

LEADERSHIP POTENTIAL
Leadership Potential is a key characteristic of a strong Bridge Builders^® student. Although some Bridge Builders^® students are the class presidents, club presidents or sports captains, many are not. We seek students that are capable of assuming such positions if given the tools and opportunities to build their confidence and ability.

ACADEMIC STABILITY
Bridge Builders^® is a program that requires a commitment of time. Therefore, academic stability must be considered.

OPEN-MINDEDNESS
One goal of Bridge Builders^® is to assist youth in overcoming prejudices and stereotypes. The effectiveness of this goal can be enhanced if the participants are open-minded from the start.

PARENTAL SUPPORT
It is very important for students to be supported by their parent(s)/guardian(s). It takes this support for students to grow in life and in the program. Parents are asked to help their child stay committed to the program over the two years.
