BRIDGES builds a community of leaders to advance
racial, economic, educational and environmental justice.

Right now…

...  somewhere in the city of Memphis -  there's a high school student who is becoming a leader...a young single mother is admiring her GED diploma and applying for college...a formerly unemployed adult with new skills and confidence is smiling as he or she shows up for work...a child is becoming a peacemaker...a middle-school student with a newfound passion for the environment is convincing his parents to turn off the lights and recycle...a group of co-workers is marveling at what they can accomplish when they work as a team.

For more than than 85 years, BRIDGES has been making a difference in Memphis one life at a time, one bridge at a time. Today BRIDGES serves more than 15,000 youth and adults - individuals who are learning, leading and lifting up our community. And there's a place for you at BRIDGES.

Watch the video below for more on how BRIDGES is transforming Memphis.

5 % Day at Whole Foods rocked!

BRIDGES is grateful for everyone who shopped at Whole Foods at 5022 Poplar June 30.  BRIDGES will receive 5 % of the day's net sales. Lots of friends stopped by to stock up on natural and organic stuff and to show support for the BRIDGES mission. Thank you shoppers and thank you Whole Foods!

Kickoff Classic all new for 2009!

The annual event marking the start of the prep football season in the Mid-South is getting a make-over. This year's AIM Charity/BRIDGES Kickoff Classic is named for title sponsor AIM Charity, the non-profit foundation arm of long-time supporter Consulting Services Group. But the name's not all that's new. This year's game location will be Hull-Dobbs Athletic Field at Memphis University School and games will take place on consecutive evenings, Friday and Saturday, Aug. 21 and 22. Learn more!

GOU + FUBU = kids having fun!

Middle school students from across the Mid-South are in the thick of the third and final session of this year's Future Builder's Summer Camp, learning leadership skills, diversity appreciation and environmental awareness to impact positive community change. But if it weren't for the partnership between BRIDGES and Great Outdoors University this awesome program for sixth, seventh and eighth graders wouldn't be nearly as cool as it is today.

SESSION 3 OF SUMMER CAMP IS FULL!!!
